Sonic Mania Delayed to Summer 2017, New Level Teaser

Sonic Mania, a return to the classic Sonic that made him popular in the first place, has been delayed til Summer 2017.

As seen by many, and experienced by some at Nintendo Switch events, Sonic Mania is a mix of old and new, with a classic 16-bit look and feel but with new levels designed in the present. This may be disappointing to Sonic fans, but from what's been revealed, Sonic Mania is a true throwback to Sonic's prime and a delay can only mean more polish.

To make up for the delay, Sega revealed a 30-second teaser of a familiar level called Flying Battery Zone. Sonic Mania incorporates new and old (remade) levels of the past to create a familiar yet new experience.

In other Sonic news, Sonic Forces has been revealed with its first gameplay trailer. Check it out here!
