Sonic the Hedgehog co-creator moves to Nintendo

Hirokazu Yasuhara, co-creator and director on the early Sonic games, is now an employee of Nintendo. The industry professional has relocated to Redmond, Washington, to work at the company's Nintendo Software Technology (NST) division.

Yasuhara has collaborated on several Sonic the Hedgehog titles on the Sega Genesis and Saturn, later graduating to Naughty Dog as a senior designer on games like Jak & Daxter and Uncharted. He most recently contributed to Namco Bandai's ranks, helping to create Pac-Man Party for the Wii. He's currently listed as a “game designer” for NST, but the details of his involvement have not been shared.
