Sony announces PSN Messaging Maintenance for tomorrow

Typically Sony gives us a few days warning, but today Sony announced that the PSN messaging system will undergo maintenance tomorrow, April 21st.

According to their brief update, the system will be down from 9:00pm until 12:00am PST. During this time, the following actions will be unavailable across all PlayStation systems (PS4, PS3, and Vita) and the PlayStation Mobile app:

  • Sending PSN messages
  • ReceivingĀ PSN messages
  • DeletingĀ PSN messages
  • Changing the group message title
  • Adding members to a group message

Sony maintains that all other PSN services and online gameplay will be unaffected.

We don't know what exactly the maintenance will cover, but Sony did leave a lovely message:

"We thank you for your patience and support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
