Sony is readying to release the next PlayStation 4 system software update, but before they can do so they want to make sure everything is in working order. To that end, the company is looking for volunteers to help test the update and its new features.
"Last September we put a call out to PS4 owners to test out our next system software update and since we’re getting close to the release of our next update for PS4, we wanted to do it again!" John Koller, SCEA VP of PlayStation Brand Marketing, said.
Starting today you can sign up to be a beta tester and get a sneak peek at some of the features coming to the PS4, which Sony has yet to detail. The beta program will kick off in March. Those selected will receive email instructions on how to download the system software. Sony notes you can roll back to the previous system software at any time.
More details about the specifics of the update will be shared when the beta begins.
