Sony Pictures Japan has released a J-Pop version of ‘Ghostbusters’

Sony Pictures Japan has just dropped a J-Pop version of the Ghostbusters theme song for the new movie. Check it out above!

With the release of the new Ghostbusters movie next month, Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliot unveiled their cover of the classic Ray Parker Jr. theme. The new song, however, fell on the ears of many a disappointed fan. A strange combination with the two artists, the song is a pretty strong indicator that the movie may not be on par with what we've come to expect from Ghostbusters.

Depite the backlash, one version of the song seems to already be garnering more support. Sony Pictures Japan has released a J-Pop version of the song by Japanese comediennes, Shizuyo Tamazaki, Tomochika, Oniyakko Tsubaki, and Naomi Watanabe. The music video is official promotional material with scenes from the movie spliced in among the colorful backdrop. Putting the latest version to complete shame, its disappointing to many fans that this can't be the official song in the states, but it doesn't mean we can't enjoy it just as much!

Ghostbusters release July 15th!
