Now that we finally have folders, Sony is working on making the PlayStation 4 even better for owners – which means that the console will need an update! Luckily, Sony is letting some PlayStation 4 owners test the beta out before the release it. Owners can sign up anytime between now and the start of the beta in early February.
The last update, 4.00, brought some pretty big changes like a PS4 UI refresh, Folders, the revised Quick Menu, and much more, so it will be interesting to see what 4.5 brings. Sony didn't detail what features 4.5 would be bringing, but the patch between 4.00 and 4.5 was the lackluster 4.07 – making this beta version a pretty big jump.
Hopefully, that means the update will reflect that jump with features.
In order to sign up for the beta, you'll need to be at least 18 years old, have a Master Account and an internet connection.
