When Sony announced the PlayStation 4 Pro, they revealed that the PS4 Pro would alter your gameplay experience (depending on your TV), thanks to its upgraded GPU (more than doubled), 4K display, boosted clock rate, and a 1TB HDD. Sony emphasized the 4K feature of the PS4 Pro quite a bit during the PlayStation Meeting, showing off a number of forward compatible games.
There was one thing that was noted by the gaming community, but not stressed by Sony – the 4K feature isn't native, it's upscaled for many of the games.
"I would say the majority [of games running at 4K on PS4 Pro] will be upscaled – at least based on the game portfolio I have seen to date," House told Digital Spy (via VideoGamer).
With the emphasis of the PS4 Pro being 4K gaming, it can feel a bit misleading that a majority of the games won't be running at native 4K. However, House believes otherwise. According to him, it's not misleading
"No, I don't think so," House continued. "I think that whatever the term is, it's a question of whether people see a demonstrable difference in the game experience or not, rather than the term we use to apply to it.
"I think that's what people are looking for and they'll make their judgment as to whether that's working for them or not."
