For another week in a row talk of Sony bringing back Crash Bandicoot has arisen.
Speaking with PixelDan during the New York Toy Fair, NECA Toys' toy director Randy Falk suggested Sony is bringing back the beloved character in perhaps a franchise revival on PS4.
In the video below, Falk says the company has "a lot of stuff going on with Sony," adding at the 4:10-minute mark, "I see they're bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool. There's some great stuff there."
Many have jumped on the statement and interpreted as NECA Toys confirming Crash Bandicoot's revival, but to me it seems like Falk is only reiterating the rumors and speculation seen online. Without Sony's confirmation, I'm still hesitant to believe anything, but it's interesting his statement comes just days after PlayStation Middle East posted a tribute to the title.
Last week, PlayStation Mid East tweeted an image with a message that translates to: "Most Wanted: Where Are You Crash?"
It's worth mentioning that Activision currently holds the rights to the Crash Bandicoot franchise, so if anything is on the way than Sony would have to work with the publisher.
