Sony’s Uncharted movie is in development hell

Man, Sony just can't get a director to stick with their Uncharted movie. A new report from Heroic Hollywood claims director Seth Gordon is no longer attached to the film.

According to sources, Gordon's departure is likely the result of the film being in development hell. Apparently the script is back in development after Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group Chairman Tom Rotham came in and asked them to create the movie on a smaller budget.

While we can't confirm this for sure, Heroic Hollywood's Umberto Gonzalez claims "Sonyw as hoping this was their Indiana Jones and Rothman is looking at it like Resident Evil."

Last we heard, Sony was targeting a Summer 2016 release for the Uncharted movie, but that looks to be a far shot given this latest development.

At least the upcoming PlayStation 4 game is looking good.
