Sony shows new Resident Evil Village gameplay in PS5 ad

Only two days until Sony unleashes the PlayStation 5 into the wild. As part of their new consoles promotion, we now get a new video featuring tennis sensation Naomi Osaka. Not only that, but there’s even brand-new gameplay footage of Resident Evil Village. Albeit, very brief. Check it out yourself below!

Exciting times for gamers. Two next-gen consoles are launching this week, and it’s without a doubt that Sony’s PS5 garners a lot of attention. That’s due to the platform holder focusing on what matters most. Games.

The next generation of survival horror rises in the form of Resident Evil Village, the eighth major entry in the Resident Evil series. With ultra-realistic graphics powered by the RE Engine, fight for survival as danger lurks around every corner.

As part of the launch promo, two new ads featuring tennis player Naomi Osaka and actor  Michael B. Jordan are out now. It’s always fun to see the reaction of gamers which both of them are. But while Jordan’s video shows him playing Spider-Man Miles Morales and Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, it’s Naomi Osaka that steals the show.

Not only are her reactions to playing PlayStation 5 games heartwarming and genuine to witness, but we also see a highly-anticipated game, too. Capcom’s survival-horror juggernaut Resident Evil Village shows itself!

It’s not really lengthy footage but it’s actually genuine gameplay footage played by Naomi Osaka. The tennis player also shares her own gaming tastes which lie in the competitive FPS genre. Titles like Overwatch and Apex Legends is what she usually plays.

Quite frankly, she doesn’t like horror games or movies. Thus, it’s even more enjoyable to see her reacting to one of the scariest game series of all time.

Resident Evil Village is slated to launch next year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
