It seems the more we ask for a game and shove our money at developers, the longer they keep us guessing. Half-Life 3. Final Fantasy 7 remake. The Last Guardian.
For Sony, it loves that people are still interested in the Team Ico action-adventure title, which PlayStation software product development head Scott Rohde says is "absolutely in the mix" at Worldwide Studios.
"That’s an honor to us," he told IGN. "That’s not just me spinning … It’s really cool that people are still interested in it, and we’re trying to make the best thing we can out of The Last Guardian.
"And when we see that the public is so interested in a specific game, of course that drives us to want to complete that game. But it also drives us to want to make it great. We would not want to ship that game if we don’t think it’s great.”
Rohde couldn't give any details on whether the project has moved from PlayStation 3 to PS4, who's involved, or — obviously — when it might finally come out. It's been eight years. What's a few more?
