Being a PlayStation Plus member has just become more rewarding as Sony unveiled today its newest member program, PlayStation Plus Specials.
As the name suggests, the new program offers exclusive discounts for PS Plus members on the newest PlayStation games and add-ons. According to Sony, these limited-time sale events will also offer select DLC bundles exclusively to PS Plus members.
Kicking off the inaugural PS Plus Specials week, you can get Bloodborne for $47.99, marking the first time the new PlayStation 4 exclusive title has ever received a discount on the PlayStation Store. Other discounts can be had on Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin.
Check out the full list of discounts for the inaugural PS Plus Specials lineup:

While the initial lineup discounts are a bit disappointing — $48 for The Order: 1886 (really?) — this is definitely the start of yet another promising program from Sony that I hope will grow into something Special (get it!?)
Let's be honest, Sony didn't have to do this. They already had us by requiring a PS Plus membership to play PS4 games online. Getting free games every month through PS Plus is already incentive enough to become a PS Plus member, but now added discounts? Not bad, Sony, not bad.
