Sony working to fix issues with PS4 2.00 firmware update

Following last week's PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.00, aka the Masamune update, Sony has acknowledged that they are aware of a number of post-release issues causing problems for users.

Though PS4 users have reported a number of problems with their system following the update — including one in which the system does not power back on after it enters Rest mode — Sony, over the weekend, acknowledged at least two of the problems: some freezes and boot errors. They also assured PS4 owners that they are "working to resolve" the issues as soon as possible, and will update fans when they have something more to say.

System software update 2.0 for the PS4 introduced a number of major features like Share PlayYouTube integration, USB music, sorting options for your PS4 game library, and themes to change the look of your home screen. For Sony, this is just the latest in a line of issues regarding the update which also brought down PSN for a lengthy period. Whatever problems exist, though, it doesn't appear to be hurting PS4 sales.
