Sorry Super Smash Bros. fans, Namco’s big reveal is ‘JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure All Star Battle’

Super Smash Bros. fans may be a little disappointed with today's news that Namco Bandai has unveiled JoJo's Bizzare Adventure All Star Battle, a PlayStation 3 exclusive fighting game.

Following reports that Namco had begun work on the next Super Smash Bros., the teaser site had given fans desperate for news a glimmer of hope that the countdown on the site might somehow be related. Unfortunately, it's not.

Developed by CyberConnect2, the makers of the Naruto fighting games and most recently Asura's Wrath, JoJo's Bizzare Adventure All Star Battle is based off the JoJo's Bizzare Adventure franchise – a series very popular in Japan, but not really big here in America.

Because of that, it's unclear whether or not the game will be released in the West. Namco's teaser site went live revealing a Japanese trailer of the game. It definitely looks great, especially for fans of fighting games, but I can't really comment much more on it as I'm not too familiar with the series.

I know it's not the news many of you were hoping for, but I'm sure a select few are happy with the announcement…right?
