Sorry, the Duck Hunt zapper inspired ‘Nintendo Glock’ won’t be entering mass production

The drama around the gun made the weapons manufacturer stop short.

The Texas-based weapons manufacturer Precision Syndicate created a a handgun, crafted after Duck Hunt's NES Zapper. Unfortunately for gun enthusiasts, the Nintendo Glock will not be made available to the masses.

Upon its reveal, the Nintendo Glock was met with a mix of praise and fury from the community. Some Nintendo and gun enthusiasts thought the gun was the coolest thing since sliced bread, while other found the weapon to be terribly dangerous.

The main argument was that no weapon should be created to look like a children's toy, as it would inspire children to seek out the weapon and play with it.

Due to the 'drama' surrounding the gun, Precision Syndicate released a statement via Facebook saying that they would not be mass producing the weapon.

In light of the "Nintendo Glock" drama, we feel that the media and our fans need to know that this firearm will not be mass produced nor will it ever be. This is a one off custom build for a friend of ours. Do to the thousands of emails and messages we have received in the past 2 days we have been unable to contact everyone in a timely manner, please be patient we will get to you as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support! Oh, and please.. keep your guns locked up and away from children, it's common sense.

Whether or not the gun was intended for mass production or simply a one-off – the gun is a well-crafted replica. Unfortunately, it's a deadly one.
