Soulcalibur V looking like Playboy: The Fighting Game

Namco Bandai seems to have pegged their target audience for upcoming fighting game Soulcalibur V, namely anybody who likes titties. To be fair, big-breasted ladies have been gracing fighting titles for as long as we can remember (hey there Mai), but with Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki no longer working on his flagship series, it seems Namco is eager to take control of the boob-jiggle simulation market, as evidenced by their game's recent review by the ESRB's:

"Some female fighters wear outfits that reveal large amounts of jiggling cleavage and portions of their buttocks," the industry group reports, adding: "… on the character creation menu, players can augment fighters' breast sizes and manipulate the camera to zoom in on their bodies."

Okay fine, so the women are pretty and we can make their naughty pillows as big as we want, nothing warranting more than a T for Teen rating. However, its the game's advertising campaign that has some gamers understandably upset.

Objectifying women to help sell video games. That's the recession for ya.
