In some ways, Space Jam was ahead of its time (the only one further than it was Who Framed Roger Rabbit). While actors working around animated characters is the norm these days, it wasn't long ago when inserting one into a frame with real life actors was a big deal. Space Jam did just that, and it was a who's who of celebrities from a variety of platforms.
The star power brought in from Hollywood, the NBA, and Looney Tunes was unrivaled for a children's movie (and in many ways, still is), which made it iconic for children of the 90's. Now, 20 years later, the film will return to theaters for a 2-day run, with the first being Sunday, November 13th and the second being Wednesday, November 16th.
The showtimes are even more limited than that, as November 13th will see only two (2:00 PM and 6:00 PM) and the 16th will have only one at 7:00 PM. On top of that, only about 450 theaters across the US will even get the movie, so it'll be slim pickings if you want to see it.
