10tons Ltd announced today that Sparkle 2 is making its way to Xbox One on January 27th. It was originally released in 2013 on mobile platform before launching on PlayStation platforms later. The studio's spinoff title Sparkle Unleashed released last year on Xbox One in addition to its other titles Crimsonland and Baseball Riot.
Sparkle 2 is a match three marble matching shooter where the player is required to follow an ongoing chain of different colored marbles throughout a winding trail. Each level has separate obstacles to hinder you and there are also buffs you may obtain to aid your progress. In order to get to the next level, you need to clear all the marbles from the screen before the reach the end of the trail. Unlike Sparkle Unleashed which had a small amount of levels, Sparkle 2 has 90 levels and game modes of story, challenge and survival. Each one of these is self explanatory, but the Xbox One release has a special new mode called Cataclysm which hasn't been broken down yet. It seems as a super fast level loaded with extra marbles but we'll have to wait until the 27th to find out.
The CEO of 10tons Ltd. Tero Alatalo stated that
We were astonished by the overwhelmingly positive reception Sparkle 2's spin off title, Sparkle Unleashed, got on Xbox One last summer. We're confident Sparkle 2 will be equally well received, as the gameplay experience is different enough and the production values are a touch higher.
The game will launch on January 27th for $7.99 with a 15% discount through February 8th
