Spec Ops: The Line, despite it's stunning graphics and intense, action-oriented gameplay, has flown under the radars for many. Today, it looks to make a splash as the demo has just been released for Xbox 360.
PS3 users and Xbox Live Gold Members can now download and play the demo which begins with a "Delta Force recon team, led by Captain Martin Walker, infiltrating Dubai six months after a cataclysmic sandstorm destroyed the city and left it buried in ruin. Chaos ensues as Delta is pulled into the middle of a civil war. Walker and his team must fight their way through the unpredictable war-torn city to find the man at the heart of its madness – Colonel John Konrad."
The demo will become available for all Xbox LIVE members on May 15, 2012.
Spec Ops: The Line is a very promising third person shooter whose focus is not only on providing action, but the up-close and personal view into the brutality and emotion within the combat. Speaking to the game's lead designer Cory Davis, he spoke of the game's emphasis on narration and exploring character's thoughts and emotions during this high tension time.
Don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourself. The Spec Ops: The Line demo can be added to your Xbox 360 download queue for free. It's 1.45 GB in space (on Xbox 360).
