Spectra racing onto Xbox One next month

Gateway Interactive and Mastertronic have announced that their music-based racer Spectra is speeding on to the Xbox One next month via the ID@xbox development program.

Spectra is a unique twist on the racing genre where you speed to the beat of the music and must survive until the music stops. It will include both a normal and hardcore difficulty mode where points scored are dependent on both your style of racing and how long you survive.

What makes Spectra unlike any other racer is that it's not about memory and remembering exactly where you need to slow down in order to make that one, pesky turn. Racing in time with the music forces you to rely on your reactions and instinct for that crucial movement.

Spectra launches on July 10th on Xbox One
