Spelunky hits PlayStation 3 and Vita late this month

Mossmouth's Spelunky — the fancy and, dare I say, superior Xbox 360 version — returned to PC this month, and now it's dropping on PlayStation 3 and Vita, too.

On August 27, everybody's favorite randomly generated cave platformer comes to the PlayStation Network for $15 (or $12 for PlayStation Plus members). It's a cross-buy title, so you can play it on your TV or on your handheld.

The best part about it is the co-op, so be sure to get three friends together for some quality annoyance. Go ahead — throw rocks at them. Just see where that gets you when you're stuck as a ghost and they refuse to revive you … and you retaliate by blowing over the shopkeeper's wares. Fun times.
