Marvel’s Spider-Man gets new Game of the Year Edition; Out now

Last year, Sony released several massive single-player games. God of War, Detroit, and of course, Marvel’s Spider-Man. Insomniac’s open-world superhero PS4 exclusive garnered high-praise for not only its Spidey-accurate gameplay but also a rich and emotional story that juggles Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Insomniac went on to release three DLCs that served as an epilogue to the main story and set some things up for a potential sequel. Now, you can get all of this in one complete package via the Game of the Year Edition.

Sony has released Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition on PS4 for $39.99. This includes all previously released content including the free suits and three paid expansions. If you have yet to get in on one of 2018’s most acclaimed games, now is the time!

Last week, Sony also announced that they have acquired Insomniac Games as a first-party studio. This means that Insomniac will join the ranks of Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Guerilla Games, and more as developers of world-class PlayStation exclusives. While nothing has been announced, Sony has been demonstrating the tech for the next PlayStation by using Spider-Man as a foundation.

Sony has boasted faster load times, better performance, and more with the superhero game on the next-gen console. One would have to imagine that Insomniac is hard at work on a Spider-Man 2 but it remains to be seen how far away it is from releasing.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition is out now on PS4 digitally and at retail.
