Spider-Man: Miles Morales Launch Trailer + Next-gen Upgrade details

Next-gen starts with a bang

Insomniac Games released the launch trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The PS5 launch game comes out this week, on November 12th. Watch the trailer here!

Only three days left until Sony kicks off next-gen gaming on the PS5. New hardware on its own is rather boring however. And it’s all about the games. Thankfully, Sony sports an outstanding, if not one of the strongest console line-ups of all time.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the Demon’s Souls remake are the two heavy-hitters of the PlayStation 5 launch. These two games will assuredly also become the first next-gen games that millions of gamers experience, as well.

The launch trailer gives you one last look at Miles’s new home in East Harlem, and the threats that he will face as he rises to the challenge of becoming a Spider-Man. You may notice your first look at some characters we haven’t shown in motion yet.

And what an awesome start for a new console generation it is. Insomniac Games really hit it out the park with Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The follow-up to the awesome PS4 exclusive open-world game manages to improve on an already outstanding game.

We were truly blown away with the game on the PS4 and can only imagine how awesome the PS5 experience is. While it’s undoubtedly nice that millions of PS4 owners can play the game, Insomniac Games offers plenty of reason to make the jump to next-gen.

Blistering 60fps gameplay at up to 4K resolutions and cutting-edge ray tracing reflections are great next-gen features. But not everyone plans to get a PS5 right away. Insomniac Games got you covered here as well.

Whether you buy the PS4 version of Spider-Man: Miles Morales digitally or physically, once you get a PS5 you’ll be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free. Even though it’s fairly easy, the developer detailed how you can do it on the PlayStation Blog. It goes without saying that if you purchase the phsical PS4 game, it’s technically impossible to get the PS5 version on the Digital Only PS5 console.
