After the confirmation that Konami had indeed cancelled the Silent Hills (RIP P.T. Demo) project, there were plenty of indie developers willing to give the gaming community what it wanted – a real horror game. The most promising game of the bunch was Allison Road, a game that promised to return to the "roots of true psychological horror."
Lillith Ltd., the developers behind Allison Road took their idea to the crowd funding site, Kickstarter. Despite their success on Kickstarter, the developers cancelled the campaign and opted to form a partnership with a publishing studio, Team17, to get the game supported and funded.
According to the official Twitter account for Allison Road, the game has been cancelled.
Perhaps the emulated the P.T. demo too much and met the same unfortunate end. I don't want to horror genre to die, so I'm hoping that this is all a scheme to bring people's attention back to the game for an awesome announcement.
