Splatoon 2’s Green and Pink Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons are coming to the U.S.

Last year, when Splatoon 2 was released for the Switch, Nintendo also announced a new set of neon pink and green Joy-Cons that would coincide with the release of the 3rd-person ink shooter. Unfortunately, for those of us in the U.S., the individual units (left or right) or the complete set were not released in America. That is unless you bought the Splatoon 2 Switch Bundle, which had a set included and were exclusive to Walmart. However, fans of the game and the color combination were still able to import the controllers via Amazon UK and other European retailers, for a premium north of $90.

If you’ve been able to resist the urge to import (and overpay), you’ll be happy to know that later this month Nintendo is bringing the pink and green Joy-Cons to the U.S. No specific date or pricing has been announced, but if we had to guess, we’d expect them to retail for the standard $79.99, like other Joy-Con sets. We also don’t know if you’ll be able to purchase the green or pink individual, but we should know later this month.
