As sweet as it was, we all knew Splatoon's stream of free stage DLC had to end. This evening, Inkopolis will get one last battle stage, Ancho-V Games — and the name isn't the only clever part about it.
The main gimmick of this office-like map comes in the form of fans (complete with electrical cords). As their blades get inked, the floor will slide horizontally or rise vertically. This could make for some entertaining now-you-see-me-now-you-don't getaway opportunities.
Nintendo has spoiled us with well-designed stages and too many weapons to keep track of in support of this rewarding title. They may be putting a stop to the free content, but who knows… Maybe after the ink has settled, Splatoon will make a comeback with paid DLC.
Keep your gear fresh, Inklings.
