It looks like Wii U shooter Splatoon will get at least one more update before the New Year, with Nintendo of Europe confirming the arrival of the new Piranha Pit map.
The company took to Twitter to confirm that Piranha Pit will arrive "tomorrow morning," which means something different for all of you depending on your location. If it follows typical update times, the new map should go into rotation at 7:00pm Pacific / 10:00pm Eastern on December 28th in Nroth America, with Europe getting it at 3am UK / 4am CET on December 29th.
A video showing off the new map can be seen below.
Splatoon was a surprise hit for the Wii U this year, and Nintendo has shown great post-launch support for the third-person shooter in the form of new stages and weapons. While Splatoon may not be considered as "mature" as say, Call of Duty or Halo, it's truly a unique shooting experience that breathes life into a stale genre. That's why it was named as one our best games of 2015.
