A much need boost to the Wii U's gaming library is now available for pre-order. Splinter Cell Blacklist, which today I learned doesn't have a colon in its title, can be pre-ordered through Amazon and GameStop for $59.95.
If you're wondering what the difference is between the Wii U version and Xbox 360/PS3 versions, the Wii U's GamePad will control Sam Fisher's gadgets — such as ri-rotor drones and the sticky cam. You'll also be able to combat enemies, switch weapons, navigate the environment, and track your friends' missions all through the GamePad.
Back in February, two Ubisoft employees mentioned Splinter Cell Blacklist for the Wii U on their LinkedIn profiles. Then, earlier this month, Nintendo confirmed that the game would be coming to the Wii U. It'll launch at the same time as the other console and PC on August 20, 2013.
I'm curious how the Wii U will handle Blacklist. I haven't seen any video of gameplay on the Wii U, so it's a mystery how the console will handle the insane amount of detail and lighting.
