Splinter Cell: Blacklist release date announced

Since E3 2012, Splinter Cell: Blacklist had been expected to release in Spring of 2013, although Ubisoft had never announced a solid release date. Today, with the launch of a new trailer, Ubisoft has announced that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will release on August 20, 2013. Also, Blacklist is now available for pre-order with bonus content.

If you pre-order Blacklist, you'll get the bonus content that includes:

  • The Dead Coast co-op map
  • Upper Echelon Suit: better protection from gunfire and blends into the shadows
  • Gold Sonar Goggles: tactical imaging leaves enemies nowhere to hide

The "Inauguration" trailer shows video and audio from recent presidential inauguration addresses before it has the new female president asking Sam Fisher for help with the Blacklist attacks. It shows some of the great stealth action and takedowns that Splinter Cell is known for.
