Since E3 2012, Splinter Cell: Blacklist had been expected to release in Spring of 2013, although Ubisoft had never announced a solid release date. Today, with the launch of a new trailer, Ubisoft has announced that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will release on August 20, 2013. Also, Blacklist is now available for pre-order with bonus content.

The "Inauguration" trailer shows video and audio from recent presidential inauguration addresses before it has the new female president asking Sam Fisher for help with the Blacklist attacks. It shows some of the great stealth action and takedowns that Splinter Cell is known for.
