After announcing earlier that Splinter Cell Blacklist on the Wii U was available for pre-order, Ubisoft released a Wii U trailer for the game on their YouTube channel. I had to watch it a few times, mainly because the first time I couldn't stop staring at how long the person's fingernails were. Seriously, he has some long nail beds. SEE TRAILER BELOW.
It's just a trailer, but whatever worries I had about the game's visuals have mostly disappeared. The trailer does a nice job of highlighting everything you can do with the Wii U's GamePad — features that aren't available on any other system.
The Wii U GamePad replicated Sam's OpSat, allowing the player to operate gadgets. A few of the things you can control with the GamePad are night vision, OpSat snake camera, equipment quick switch, trirotor drone control, killing in motion and sticky camera. At least, I think it's a sticky camera. In the trailer, it says sticky camerb. WTF is a camerb?
UPDATE!!!! IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT I'M A F*CKTARD THAT COMPLETELY MISSED CAMERB MORPHING INTO CAMERA! I'LL HEREBY PUNISH MYSELF BY WATCHING THE FLORIDA PANTHERS "PLAY" HOCKEY.
The GamePad will undoubtedly make your life easier as you use these gadgets, combat enemies and navigate the environment.
Splinter Cell Blacklist releases on Wii U, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 20th.
