Ubisoft has been around for 30 years and that's something worth celebrating. So, Ubisoft decided to celebrate by giving away some games for free, and this month Splinter Cell is the game being given away.

Last month Ubisoft decided to start off their 30th anniversary celebration by announcing that they would be giving away seven games over seven months, from June to December, and first out the gates was a truly great game, Prince of Persia. It seems like Ubisoft is keeping up with giving away high quality games since this months free game is one of the best games ever made, the original Splinter Cell from 2002.

To get your very own copy of Splinter Cell just head over to Ubisoft Club and click "Get the game now" and an installation guide will start. When the installation is done players will find their new game in their Uplay library. Ubisoft also reassures gamers that this isn't some kind of demo or free trial, when they have downloaded the game it theirs for all eternity.

"To celebrate Ubisoft's 30th anniversary, The Ubisoft Club is offering you seven digital PC games. Every month a new game will be revealed and free to download. Then it is yours to keep!"

The next free game from Ubisoft come some time in mid-August so hurry up and download this piece of gaming gold before it's too late.

Speaking of gaming and gold, Fatshark is also giving away a free game: right now they are giving away 100,000 free copies of their game Lead and Gold, so hurry up and grab yourself a copy of that as well before they are all gone.
