Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom remaster gets multiplayer trailer

With Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated due out in just a few weeks, THQ Nordic has pushed out a new trailer for the game’s co-op mode. The new horde mode lets you partner up with a friend as one of 7 characters (including a Gary the Snail equipped with boots).

The mode sees you fending off robots on small islands. As you fight your robot foes, you’ll also have to be aware of your surroundings given the floors appear to have hazards that force you to use your platforming skills. You can read the official description for the mode below.

“Grab your buddy and face the evil Robo-Squidward in the brand new horde mode for up to two players, online and couch co-op on the same screen! The multiplayer contains 26 islands and 7 playable characters, all with unique attacks.”

SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated releases on June 23rd for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
