Spy vs. Spy: Blowing each other up on iOS later this summer

Robots and Pencils has revealed a new trailer for Spy vs. Spy, the studio's upcoming mobile title for iOS devices. The game will feature retro gameplay taken straight from the original Commodore 64 title, and the titular spies will be tasked with, well, blowing each other to smithereens.

According to the big reveal trailer (above), Spy vs. Spy will feature the classic modes that the original game featured as well as new gameplay components, local and online multiplayer, and sexy HD visuals. There will also be a brand new campaign mode featuring the eight embassies from the original Spy vs. Spy, as well as 16 new embassies.

Robots and Pencils is collaborating with First Star Software on the upcoming project. For those of you who may be unaware, First Star developed the original Spy vs. Spy back in 1984. Can you smell that authenticity?

If you're a fan of the original game or want something new to play on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, keep an eye on Spy vs. Spy when it lands on the App Store later this summer.
