Sqaure Enix knows how many parts Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be, just won’t say it

While Final Fantasy 7 Remake's producer Yoshinori Kitase defended the decision to offer the remake as a multi-part game, Kitase revealed something more about the game. According to Kitase, Square Enix is "Going beyond the scale and depth of the world, narrative and gameplay from the original [Final Fantasy 7] to deliver something that feels familiar yet new."

With Kitase suggesting that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will have more depth than the original, you have to wonder about exactly what he was hinting at. The Japanese blog Hachima Kikou revealed a bit of what Square Enix had planned, by detailing the content of the most recent issue of the Weekly Famitsu.

According to the Weekly Famitsu, Square Enix knows how many parts will be in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but they 'can't disclose' it at the moment. As to what content will be filling up the multiple parts, well, apparently Square Enix is using the multi-part series to expand on characters like Biggs, Wedge and Jesse.

On top of this, it was revealed that various areas of Midgar will be explorable, there will be online features that Square Enix isn't willing to speak on, and technical help on developing the game in the Unreal Engine has been supplied by the Kingdom Hearts 3 team.
