As with any Square Enix RPG series, there are a lot of different entries, spin-offs, comics, cave paintings, and other ways to experience the story. They expand beyond just games and even within the games, there’s a ton of them. Just look at Final Fantasy, there are like 86 games in that franchise.
Kingdom Hearts is a bit more contained but there’s still a lot of different versions of the series to play before the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 releases early next year. Luckily, Square Enix has announced a new compilation for Kingdom Hearts to get the definitive experience before 3.
On October 30th, PlayStation 4 players will be able to pick up Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far for $39.99. The compilation includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, which are available standalone as well.
