The original NIER had a soundtrack that received near universal acclaim. It featured songs with lyrics that had no real meaning: Tons of languages were combined and played with to create the feel of futuristic tongues. Which Emi Evans then endowed with soul via her beautiful voice. NieR: Automata may be changing up the gameplay, but one thing is staying the same: Emi Evans has been brought back on for the soundtrack, which is freakin' awesome,
Ms. Evans isn't the only one singing the theme though. Just as NIER had multiple versions of certain songs, Square Enix has decided to upload two versions of NieR: Automata's theme to Youtube. The first is done by the aforementioned Emi Evans, while the second version is done in plain English by J'Nique Nicole. While I personally prefer Ms. Evans version, as it feels more NieR-like to me, both sound wonderful.
