Kingdom Hearts 3 game director Tetsuya Nomura has spilled the beans on a number of things, one of which is the huge worlds that they are building for the game. The worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3 are already "far bigger" than they are in previous games.
Nomura didn't leave it at that though, he had more information on the game to share — like the possibility of an online component for the game. Nomura did not reveal what the component would be, whether it would be a multiplayer function or cross-play between a mobile app and the game.
However, he did mention that it was on their wishlist and they had plenty of "ideas brewing."
"Online is certainly part of my wish list — we want gamers to play for a while and an online component helps this.
While we may be focusing on the main campaign at the moment, but it's not as if we're going to tack on an online function at the end. In fact, we've already got plenty of ideas brewing at the moment. However, we're still not at the point where we can test these ideas inside the main game."
If you're a bit trepatious when it comes to online gaming, at least Nomura offered comfort in that the feature wouldn't be tacked on as a last minute sort of thing.
