Now that the demo for Final Fantasy XV has finally become available with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Square Enix is ready for their next big game and are supposedly planning a big reveal for JRPG fans this year. Company President Yosuke Matsuda confirmed the surprise during an interview with Nikkei.
Matsuda didn't reveal much about the surprise other than the fact that it will be hitting consoles (likely the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).
This is the direct quote from Matsuda on the subject of the reveal.
“In 2015, I believe we will offer a vast number of high-end games in both the domestic market and overseas. Now that we’ve already announced Final Fantasy XV, we will also reveal information on [another] JRPG. I believe we have a bit of a surprise in store for this year.
I can’t say much for now, but it’s a JRPG for consoles. Also, our western studios have the latest Tomb Raider title with Rise of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3, and many other titles that I believe we can have high expectations of. For now, we’re preparing all kinds of things for E3.”
Mentioning E3 likely means we'll have to wait until June for more details regarding this mysterious title. UGH!
