Stabbing halts Comic-Con

The Universal Pictures panel at Comic-Con was temporarily brought to a halt on Saturday when two attendees got into a fight over a seat, leading to one man being stabbed in the eye with a pen.

According to USA Today, the incident took place minutes before the presentation of two movies: sci-fi adventure Paul and Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens. The attacker was subdued by another attendee, who held him down until security arrived to take him into custody.

The victim was taken to the University of California/San Diego hospital with what police are saying is a stab wound around the eye socket.

The Universal Studios panel resumed around 5:30 PST.
