Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness headed to North America, Europe

Tri-Ace and Square Enix have officially announced that Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will no longer be locked to Japan, and will be headed to North America and Europe in 2016. The developers are aiming for the game to release on the PlayStation 4 at 60 frames-per-second.

The game is set in between Star Ocean 2 and 3, in the year 537. The game's producer Shuichi Kobayashi revealed that Star Ocean 5 is being developed with the utmost respect for its predecessors, “Star Ocean 5 is about bringing a sense of reassurance back to longtime fans, which is why the game’s logo is reminiscent of Star Ocean 3‘s.”

Star Ocean 5 takes place on the planet Faycreed, around 6000 light years away from Earth. Players will be able to switch in between party members and cinematic events will integrate with battles seamlessly. In combat attacks and skills will be altered depending on your distance from the target.
