Justin Lin, director of the upcoming Star Trek film, has tweeted out the first image of the movie and basically confirmed the film's title as "Star Trek Beyond."
This title has been rumored for a while ever since the film's screenwriter Simon Pegg "leaked" it a couple months back. The patch in the included image states " Starfleet United Federation of Planets". Both Kirk and Spock are full go now and it appears that we'll also be seeing some action heavy, interstellar battles to fill the statement "Let the next Starfleet begin".
Of course, the tweet ends with a hashtag of the film's confirmed title along with a reference to the great Leonard Nimoy with #LLAP, Live long and prosper. No other information has been released yet for Star Trek Beyond but we will have it for you as soon as it's available.
