Star Trek: Bridge Crew VR game has been delayed to 2017

Bad news, Captain. Star Trek: Bridge Crew has been delayed. What was once going to be part of the first post-launch wave of games for PlayStation VR (and PC) has now been pushed back almost four months to a new release date of March 14, 2017. It's unfortunate, but according to Ubisoft, it's for the best.

Here's what they said per an official post on the UbiBlog:

In order to deliver the best game experience possible at launch, we have decided to push the release of Star Trek: Bridge Crew to March 14, 2017. Star Trek: Bridge Crew is designed exclusively for VR and we want to offer a compelling and engaging experience. Command of the USS Aegis is right around the corner!

What this practically means is that things are likely a bit rough around the edges, and they need more time to clean it up; which is fine. The most important thing is that Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a better game for the added development time.
