‘Star Trek: Discovery’ finally has an official release date

Our return to the final frontier is only a few months away!

The upcoming revival series, 'Star Trek: Discovery', has been confirmed with an official September release date.

There's been a lot of heresay surrounding the newest addition to the 'Star Trek' television family, 'Star Trek: Discovery'. The departure of 'Enterprise' in 2005 left a bit of a vacuum in the 'Star Trek' mythos, having only been filled in the last 12 years with the three reboot films. While the announcement last year that a new series was on the way left many fans thoroughly excited for the next chapter, it was disappointing to discover 'Star Trek: Discovery' would be pushed back to late 2017. Now, it seems with the San Diego Comic Con steadily approaching, an official release date has been dropped by CBS, set for September 24th:

The show stars Jason Isaacs, Doug Jones, Michelle Yeoh, Shazad Latif, and 'The Walking Dead's Sonequa Martin-Green. The first episode is slated to air on CBS September 24th, with the rest of the series airing on CBS All Access.
