Star Wars Battlefront 2 confirmed by EA, will feature content from at least The Force Awakens

In a financial earnings call today, EA's Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgensen confirmed what we pretty much already know. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is in development and it will feature content from "the new movies". Given the game's astounding financial success, that should be no surprise.

Jorgensen didn't specify exactly what that means and whether or not that will include Episode 8. DICE kept virtually anything spoiler related to The Force Awakens out of the first Battlefront until the Jakku DLC, so at the very least, we will be seeing "bigger and better worlds" from The Force Awakens.

Given the number of leaks and social media posts regarding Star Wars: Episode VIII, secrecy appears to be a lot more lax this time around. So it's quite likely that content from Episode VIII makes its way into the game, especially if the game releases around the time the film does on December 15th, 2017.
