The top PlayStation 4 downloads from the PlayStation Store for December 2017 have been revealed bringing some surprises. It should be noted that top games are sorted by the number of downloads for each game from the PlayStation Store, not by revenue.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 saw a rough start. The game’s launch was marred by an upset over player progression being tied to microtransactions. Analysts first claimed that EA would miss projected sales due to the controversy, however, a new report claims that those calls were simply overreactions.
Despite the controversy and fan upset over the loot boxes, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is one of the top three selling PS4 games for December 2017. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: WWII is the number one selling game of the month. The Activision published game was named the top-selling console game in North America in 2017.
As for the top add-on downloads for the PS4 in December 2017, Destiny took the top two spots with its first expansion and the game’s expansion pass.
