Star Wars Battlefront closed Alpha begins next week

The party isn't open to everyone.

Sign ups for the Star Wars Battlefront closed Alpha have begun! PC players will be able to test the game through Origin, there is a catch though… It seems as though the only people able to sign up for the Alpha are the individuals that received a special notification from EA.

According to EA, the Alpha technical testing will be made by a "small number of players who were chosen at random." Those that were invited will be able to download the Alpha on July 1 and play through it on July 2.

There's a live sign up page on EA, but no matter how many times we sign up we are denied access.

Here are the Alpha system requirements:

  • CPU: Quad Core CPU e.g. Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory

Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17.
