DICE, the EA-owned studio currently developing Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge Catalyst, is reportedly working on a third game.
Speaking to Polygon, DICE general manager Patick Bach let it slip that the studio has "three projects in the works right now." When questioned about that number, Bach responded, "Did I say that?"
Of course Bach wouldn't be able to reveal the third game unless EA allowed him to do so, but there are rumors that DICE's Los Angeles studio is working on a secret project, possibly Battlefield: Bad Company 3. As it is now, EA itself has already said the next installment in Battlefield is on track for late 2016.
Sadly, Bach wouldn't comment further on the speculation. "Isn't two games enough for you?" he joked.
I'd say so, except this industry always wants to know what's next. In this case though, we're looking beyond next to way into the future. Let's just enjoy Battlefront and Mirror's Edge, folks.
