The official reveal for Star Wars Battlefront may not be until tomorrow, but thanks to the newly launched website for the game we got some potentially big news early.
Browsing through the site's source code has revealed that the highly anticipated shooter from EA and DICE is set to release on November 17, 2015. Previously, we only had a "holiday 2015" window. As already confirmed, it'll release for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Battlefront's November launch puts it about a month ahead of the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18, 2015.
Unfortunately, no other details were revealed via the site's source code, but more information will definitely be shared during EA's panel at Star Wars Celebration tomorrow. EA's Star Wars Battlefront panel is scheduled for Friday, April 17, starting at 10:30am PST. EA has already promised to debut the official reveal trailer for the eagerly awaited game, which will likely confirm the November release.
In addition to the trailer, EA will be showing off gameplay footage behind-the-scenes at their booth on the show floor.
For those unable to attend Star Wars Celebration this weekend, many of the highlights from the event will be livestreamed online. While you'll be able to watch the panel online, it's unclear if EA will publish any gameplay clips online. However, today's teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens contained a clip at the end that suggests footage, of some sort, will be published to YouTube.
The video above contains the clip of footage shown off. It's not clear if it's cinematic, perhaps from the promised trailer, or actual gameplay footage though.
