Good news everybody, those of you unable to attent this week's Star Wars Celebration will still be able to see the grand debut of Star Wars Battlefront thanks to Verizon.
Confirmed today, "highlights and more than 30 hours of exclusive video content" from Star Wars Celebration will be livestreamed worldwide. This includes access the highly-anticipated kickoff panel featuring Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy (which could premiere the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens), as well as over a dozen panels and events.
While everyone will be celebrating Star Wars this weekend, gamers will be paying particular attention to EA's panel which promises the official reveal trailer for DICE's Star Wars Battlefront. And yes, it will be livestreamed, although we're not sure if they'll also show the gameplay promised behind-closed-doors from the show floor.
Fans can tune in to the livestream on StarWars.com. If you can't watch it live, exclusive clips will also be available on demand from Verizon, though we're not sure if this includes the Battlefront panel.
The live streaming begins at 10:00 a.m. PST, Thursday, April 16, on StarWars.com with the Celebration kickoff panel. EA's Star Wars Battlefront panel is scheduled for Friday, April 17, starting at 10:30am PST. Continuous coverage will be hosted throughout the weekend through the closing ceremony on Sunday, April 19, beginning at 3:30pm PST.
Star Wars: Battlefront will be coming this holiday season to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its launch will coincide with release of the new film, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which will hit theaters December 18, 2015.
