Star Wars Battlefront’s Supremacy matches could ‘go on forever’

Interesting detail on match set up revealed

The newest mode for Star Wars Battlefront was revealed this week in Supremacy. The franchise's version of Domination/Hardpoint, Supremacy tasks players with capturing multiple points prior to the end of the match's time limit. Of course, whichever team has the most points at the ends wins. Easy enough, right?

Earlier this week, Lead Multiplayer Designer Dennis Brannvall revealed an interesting new piece of information on Supremacy while clarifying its setup. During the match, which will include the game's biggest maps, players will have to both capture and defend multiple points of interest. Each capture will earn the team a point. What it will also do, however, is add additional time to the match. This means that even if in the lead, the winning team will have to keep fighting to ensure victory rather than camping out and resting on their laurels. Of course, it has its advantages as time is added even if the team currently in the lead captures another point of interest.

It's a new twist on the Hardpoint type of match that surely will add a new level of strategy to the gameplay. Being able to attack or defend with Heroes and Villains all in a 20 v 20 match of Supremacy looks to be one of the hottest game modes when Battlefront releases November 17th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
